Feeling Words vs Living Words

For a while there in my life I was part of the club of people who believed that if you just keep feeling and thinking positive, the whole world will change for the better. After Desteni grounded my two feet back on the ground with all the information and perspectives that are offered of how the mind works, how energy works, why everything exists the way it does, what polarity is… I terminated that club membership as I realized that positive thinking and only feeling positive will not change anything. How can we expect positive feelings to change anything – when really, what are they but something only you experience in your own mind just for a moment?

The people we look up to in our lives are not the ones who experience positive feelings all the time – it’s those who embody the words we would like to live and experience in our lives. There is a difference between being a spontaneous person and feeling spontaneous just for a moment. There is a difference between feeling love and being a loving person. There is a difference between feeling humble and being a humble person. And we can go on and on. Positive feelings are like an artificial substitute of the real thing – and they have an expiration date.

At Desteni we walk the process of living words as ourselves – not settling for illusions, but learning what it means to live for real as a person of worth. When we live all the words we usually only experience as momentary positive feelings, we change as people, we change how we behave, we change how we act. It is here that we really affect the world around us, it is here that world change begins.

Find out what it means to live for real – instead of just ‘feeling alive’ in those few and far apart moments in your life.
